    Default report from the coast??

been hearing mixed reports on the inshore fishing in the charleston area. anyone been lately? I reckon there's a lot of fresh, muddy water with all the rains but does it really matter?

Taking the family down for the weekend of beer drinking, relaxing, and fishing. I dont plan to get after it too hard, but I would like to catch enough fish for a nice meal.

    Somebody fill me in.

any time, fro! was hoping raybird might be back down and go for a nice, long boat ride....

i am going to buy 20 extra hooks today. *@!&$ a ray. I wish I knew how to post pics off my phone or I would take a shot of my ray sting. 23 days out and the MFer still looks bad. I am thinking I will go to a doctor if its still bad after 46 days. Sounds about right?

Went last Friday for a little while to go catch a redfish with no luck. Been catching an average of 9 or so each time I go to these spots. Water is very muddy at Georgetown. Heard they have been catching some flounder along the beach though.

All the fish left the coast.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I did fairly well with sheephead at the jetties last weekend, but the outgoing water even there looked like yoohoo. Tried some spots further inshore for other species and didn't get a bite. I'd stay towards the ocean iffin I was you.

We fished with Capt Tom on Saturday. Had a blast as usual. Caught a bunch of fish-to include Reds, Trout, Flounder and a few small Bluefish. Even kept a few to eat. She who must be obeyed reeled in a nice Red....

Capt Tom was tolerant and patient. He is a great guy to go with....it did rain from every possible direction. Fun day.

Ha, that's why I use the photobucket and the white out function! Great spot when it's raining...otherwise there is 10 botes back there.

2th--it's been a little slower than normal but still plenty of fish (as always)...the muddy water probably makes it harder for the sight feeders to see.

Last week caught some tailers in the grass, as well as some nice flounder this past week. Only one trout though, probably due to the dark water.

i suck at catching trout in my area. I just havent found them yet.

i reckon my sheepshead will bite and they eat fine to me! plus, fiddlers and my other bait are easy to come by.

Did well all this time last week with smaller tides, limits of trout and reds. Went out after work yesterday fished from dead low to high and didnt get a single bite. The water was chocolate milk and couldnt find clean water at all on the upper Wando. Across the street the water acess was packed though. . .

Tried shootin saltwater last Thursday around the Harbor/Cooper and the water was surprisingly clear as the fish we seen were surprisingly small. Didnt seem to be much at all up shallow but the ramp warden said folks been doin allrigh rod n reelin em.
