Weekend Hammering

Despite the spring-time weather, we still mananged to have an awesome late-morning hunt this weekend. The woodies didn't even fly, then about 10 AM, the mallards and gaddies decided to exercise. We exercised their asses! Just goes to show that a lot of times it pays off to stay for that 10:00 flight. All our shooting was over after 20 min., but man was it awesome watching that green fold in the sunlight.

That was sure one hell of a hunt! Never thought those birds would work but I guess that new swampthing came through in the clutch. That sure is one ugly piece but it does the trick. Pretty nice warmup for the MS Delta hunt this weekend.

You may be brainwashed by all your tamicide over the years, but there are a few people left these days who can and do kill wild ducks. The difference is we are actual "hunters" not SCWA "shooters."
