Got it in the mail today. Neat book with a lot of history.

It's half off at MPW right now too.

Read that book every year before the season opens as a preseason ritual type deal

Lots and lots of history. Amazing how much changed in such a small amount of time. Fuck a soybean ....you'll be saying that same thing to yourself about 20min into the book. A lot of that info in there is "old"...collected back during the 60s-80s but it's cool to still see a lot of it still holds true to toadys hunting.

Enjoy it. You'll probably end up reading it in one sitting

There was some special reissue a few years back...maybe an anniversary, idk...but it was paperbacked and had extra pages of new ,never published material.

Anyone have that one? Would be interested in seeing what was new in it

Great book. A good friend of mine US Senator Kaneaster Hodges, Jr. is in there with Jimmy Carter.

I fell asleep at 1:30 last night 1/2 way through the book. I might setup a shrine to Rex Hancock. Amazing what he did for the cache river and waterfowl. Lots of cool history. It sounds like the ducks use to be as thick as the damn snow geese are now.

Everyone should have a copy on the coffee table instead of all that other nonsense your wife thinks belongs there.

I was lucky enough to hunt with a guy who was written about in that book several years ago. We wore out the greenheads that morning
