    Default Smokies 7/13/13

Fished THE park this weekend. Weather was okay for the most part, drizzle on Sunday. Temps in the low 70s. Water was high, but fish didn't care. My friend caught his biggest smokey brown, 15 inches. Got to see some turkey poults and elk (nice 5x5).

441, right in front of the visitor center. They were only out early, 630am.

Second to last pic, is that the bait or the fish?
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I will admit I didn't appreciate the idea of catching <10 inch fish either until recently. Catching them is only 25% of the experience, especially in this setting. IMO

Looks fun, I would rather catch an eight inch speck than a 20 inch hatchery pig any day. Good fishing!

That little brookie is a prize. Especially for all the walking you probably did for it.
I need to go back up there and spend more time.
    Good pics
