iPhone 4 tech dork help

cracked screen. dealt with it for a while until the little glass pieces started to piss me off. went to the medic place and they put new screen on for $90. fine by me. its all good...BUT there is this new THINGIE on my screen. its a phantom square, much like all the other buttons buts its new and I dont like it. I want it to go away. im not used to it and I dont like change.

if you hit the button, it pulls up 4 choices: voice control, favorites, device, or home. you can click on any of those 4 and it lets you do stuff. i dont want to do stuff. i want it to go away.

how the hell do you make that thing go away? i tried holding it down and moving it and such. I can move it anywhere on the first page...but cant "bury it" on the 2nd page where i wont care.

help?

i cant bury it. it wont let me. its weird. its like a ghost app. you can move it to the side of the screen but it shows up on every page. even when the phone is locked or whatever you call it. its certainly supposed to be an easy to hit button for safety reasons, I reckon. but i want it to go away. NOW

Does your lock button work? If not that's what it is there for

Settings -General -Accessibility - Assistive Touch. Turn it off.

why are you using a 4? the 5 is almost out of date and you are still 2 phones behind that.

killzone wins. my lock button works but you have to hit it just right. OK. maybe I can live with it. thanks for the help, too, FM88. I will see if i use it and at least I know how to make it stop. STOP STOP THE VOICES

miller--i dont use my phone much. i think i spent less than 100 minutes last month. I dont like it nor want a newer/nicer one that does more things I still wont use.
