    Default trotline on lake murray

I havent set up a trotline in years and never on lake murray. Do yall have better luck shallow or deep? I have always set them shallow when I have used them. do yall use a concrete block on one end for weight? Any input would be helpful

If you hurray, you may be able to still catch them on rocky points, up shallow.

Pro tip....use catalpa worms for trot lines.

A point with nearby creek run. Shallow to deep edge of creek. Spoiled shrimp are hard to beat. Tie shallow end with tag to button bush and secure deep end with half concrete block.

Gar will run you ragged on cut bream and such. I used to run mine roughly parallel to the bank along and out a point, about 8-12 feet deep, near a creek run.
