    Default traveling with HPS light

I have 6 150 watt hps on my boat and seem to be going through way to many bulbs. Do yall take your bulbs out for road travel or have this problem?
    Thanks

We don't take ours out. Put a dab of high temp silicone where the bulb screws in the base. Also check and make sure that your sockets aren't loose on the fixture. This happened to us and we busted some bulbs.

I dont take mine out either. And i have the big 400s. I usually have to snug up my bulbs every 5 or 6 trips. My sockets are attached to my reflectors, which are made with cheap flimsy sheet metal. They give a little so i think that helps cushion the shock of the bulbs a little.

My bulbs normally last a good while. I might replace two or three a year.
