Thats a good one! How high have you got that feeder hanging?

lb1, it's about 8 foot to the bottom of the feeder. I tried tripod feeders but could not get the deer to come to them. We can't use nails or screws so I figured out a way to hang a feeder between two pine trees using cable, chains, and pulleys. You can see the boat winch in the pic and notice it's bolted to a 4 x4 post which is strapped to the pine tree. Now I got the deer coming. I plan on rigging at least two more on the property.

Good information, I've had the same problem, sure it spreads a greater distance also which is a plus.
