Power steering pump keeps going out

Is the same shop replacing the pump each time? If so, it sounds like your shop of choice is putting break fluid into the pump so you will return for more business.

If I were you, I would make a trip to A 2 Z Auto Repair and get Kevin to hook you up.

Xhail...I wish this was the case so I could just bring it elsewhere. They have replaced it each time at no cost to me. So I can't complain....just need to find the root cause.

Thanks for the insight guys. I'm gonna give it one last shot with this new brand of pump and then take her to the ford dealership if it happens again. I would like to put another 70k on her if I can. We shall see

if its leaking through/on the pitman arm, then you have a broken/cracked gasket in the steering head. its a pain in the butt to fix on your own. and an expensive fix in the shop.
easiest and probably the cheapest way is to just buy and replace the whole steering unit.
