DDS - That pic was before I perm. mounted the lights. I turned them on and moved them around, like you suggested, until I had a uniform light pattern. The 250's are in the corners.

Murry - I would much rather have the front light under the rail but the point of my bow sticks out a foot and a half past the light rail. With it under, I have to point it straight out, instead of down. With it above the rail, I can sort of point it down, but the light still hits the nose.

Cut em' - thanks man. Its just something for me to piddle with. This rig is light years ahead of my other one, in just about every way.
I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

one of you fockers needs to take me bowfishing so my opinionated ass can be more opinionated.

if the zip ties are cut and the dark zones are OK in the corners, I'm in.

You going to the duck run? If so look me up, we are shooting Friday night and if you aren't too opinionated, I'll let you tag along. If you are too opinionated, I'll just toss you over board.

2th, If you are really looking to go, I would recommend taking BigBallin up on the offer.

In general, bowfishing is a young mans game. Big Ballin is not using a cane yet, but he was always one of the older guys at the tournaments. Knows his stuff, and will be much safer choice than most of us.

You may hate to admit, but know its true.

Several guys in the 20-25 years old
    Majority were 25-35 years old

    I'd put BigBallin at 42.

I'm outta the bowfishing game. Sold my rig with a kicker. I will strap halogens to the front and shoot out of the duck boat, but its busch league and I would be embarrased to take someone looking for the bowfishing experience.

Shoot with old friends on occassion, but that's about it these days.

Forgot that you had been rode hard and put up wet.

If it makes you feel better, I thought your partner was a few years older.

Do the 250's put out enough light? I was going to get all 500's but I'm starting to rethink that because of the load on my generator.

I guess the first thing you need to figure out is "what is enough light"? What water conditions are you shooting in?

For me, the 500's defiantly put out the light and one on each side works good. The 250's just sort of fill in the dark spots between the 500's. With that said, I would love to have all 500's but this setup works good and the genny isn't working too hard.
