    Default Mixed Beer Drinks

    Never tried these.

    Black Velvet

Black Velvet Recipe (Makes 1 drink)

    • 1 part chilled Guinness
    • 1 part chilled brut sparkling wine

Pour the Guinness into a chilled pint glass and let the foam subside. Place a spoon on the inside of the glass, horizontal to the beer, and pour the bubbly over the spoon so as to encourage the wine to float on top of the beer. Drink, refill, repeat.

    Sidewalker

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Ό cups applejack
    • 1 Ό cups fresh lemon juice
    • Ύ cup pure maple syrup (preferably grade b)
    • 6 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
    • 4 cups chilled hefeweizen beer
    • Ύ cup chilled club soda
    • 8 lemon wedges

    Preparation:

Stir first 4 ingredients in a large pitcher. Add 1 cup ice. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, about 2 hours.

Gently stir in beer and club soda. Fill 12-oz. highball glasses with ice. Divide cocktail among glasses. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve.

Snakebite (Beer cocktail of the week)

    Ingredients:

    • ½ pint of beer -- Brits like to use lager, in the States we seem to use Guinness more. I guess we think it's more "authentic." For craft brew lovers, try Old #38 Stout from North Coast Brewing Co., or Black Sun Stout from Three Floyds Brewing Company

    • ½ pint of hard cider -- such as Woodchuck or Strongbow

    Preparation:

Pour into the same glass. If you want to get really fancy, use the back-of-the-spoon method. Turn a spoon upside-down over the beer and gently pour the cider over the back of the spoon. This allows the cider to pour down the edge of the glass and rest on top of the beer in a pousse-cafe layering

    Diesel

A snakebite with a splash of blackberry currant, which makes this beer-tail dangerously drinkable and purple in color.

    Spicy Michelada (makes 2)

    Ingredients:

    • 2 teaspoons honey, spread into a thin layer on a plate
    • Ό cup kosher salt
    • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
    • 2 limes, juiced (plus extra lime wedges to garnish)
    • 2 cups light Mexican beer
    • 2 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (preferably a more vinegar based hot sauce such as Tabasco)
    • 1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
    • ½ jalapeno, seeded and diced (optional)
    freshly cracked black pepper

    Preparation:

    1.
Dip the rims of two glasses into the honey. (you want only a very thin layer)
    2. Place salt, paprika and cayenne (if using) onto a plate and stir together with a fork until combined. Finish rimming glasses with salt mixture, fill with ice and set aside.
    3. Fill a large shaker partially with ice followed by the remaining ingredients, except for the jalapeno. Close and shake until well mixed. Divide mixture among the two prepared glasses and finish with lime wedges, black pepper and jalpaenos (if using). Serve.

    Black and Tan

Made with traditional Guinness Draught and Harp Lager, when made right the Black and Tan forms two distinct layers in the glass. The secret to making a great Black and Tan is the “Black and Tan spoon” and the proper pouring technique. Follow our simple steps for the perfect pour!

    Step 1:
Pour a pale ale, like Harp Lager, into a pint glass, filling the glass halfway. Whether the glass is half full or half empty at this point … well, that’s your call.

    Step 2:
Float the Guinness on top to fill the glass by slowly pouring it over the back of a teaspoon. Place the spoon down in the glass just above the lager (it may help to bend the spoon so it fits down in the glass). As your pour the Guinness, slowly raise the spoon until the glass is full.

    Step 3:
Remove the spoon; two distinct layers will appear in the glass. Enjoy!

    Summer Hoedown

    • 4 (12-ounce) bottles white beer, such as Hoegaarden, chilled

    Redneck Mother

    Ingredients:

    • 1 oz Rio Star ruby red grapefruit juice (fresh-squeezed!)
    • Ύ oz sloe gin (Get the Plymoth, if you can. It's a bit hard to find, but completely worth it. If you can't hunt down the Plymoth, use a bit less, as other brands tend to be sweeter.)
    • Lone Star beer
    • Ginger beer

    Preparation:

Add the sloe gin and grapefruit juice to the bottom of a pint glass (or mason jar). Fill the remaining portion of the jar halfway with Lone Star and top with ginger beer. Cheers

The Michelada is pretty good. I drank more than my share in Guatemala.

I don't see the need to fuck up a perfectly good beer myself. Also, the retard that wrote this referred to Harp Lager as a pale ale while giving instructions on a Black and Tan.

I drank enough black and tans through my twenties to fill up several large baby pools.. \

Hosscat, we called those Hop-Skip-and-Go Nekkids when I was young. I haven't had one since I got out of my teens.

Most of those are related to different beverage concoctions. There are a lot of people that drink mater juice and beers.

And it should be Bass with the Guinness. Harp's is Guinness product along with being with Diageo so they're not going to advertise somebody else's beer. My wife stayed made at me for bending our spoons.
