It's great y'all are showing your artistic capabilities in making calls. However, if money starts moving for said calls without site sponsorship, then feathers will be ruffled and flattened with a ban hammer.

And then, somehow, it will all be my fault.

I'm not posting things for sale, like the title says "woodworkers" . They are wood. No dollar sign no mention of "for sale".

Yeah, I guess I should stress that these calls are not for sale. Just a different kind of eye candy to compliment the other flat work pics.

i built a tv stand for my living room. but its really simple. basically a table with a shelf underneath for set top box and dvd player. burnt and dark stained the wood to match the coffee tables and end tables and fit in the space we had. so i didnt get to get fancy with it.

I always top with a coat of polycrylic if it's something that is going to have something sitting on it.

    Duly noted.

    Thanks for the tip.

Big Mama wanted it white, not natural... So, I was in uncharted territory.

Let's talk material for constant weather exposure.

I am going to rebuild this pergola.

This is original to the house (1997) and you can see what crappy condition it's in. What would be the best wood for weather resistance and non-warpage? I don't want treated yella pine, I don't think. Would like a simple stain or even leaving it untreated (think maintenance-free). Was thinking cypress, but in my experience it wants to twist a little too much.

    Hit me with it.
