Good pics. Saw a flock the other day in a field, looked like all gobblers about 12 of them!
If you're gonna hunt a big field you best go prepared to spend all day! Unless you just get lucky earlier you're gonna have to wait'em out!
That said I enjoy field hunting, I can really study the birds and learn what they do and why when they won't pay my calling any attention! Which is most of the time! [img]graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've killed a lot of gobblers in fields and it ain't an easy prospect! But like I said you can learn a lot about how they act and react by hunting fields.
That said, there ain't nothing compares to seeing and hearing a big old gobbler strutting his way to you in the hardwoods! The sound of him in the leaves, seeing that big black shiny body coming through shafts of sunlight that's coming down through the canopy, and hearing the ring of the gobble through the trees!!!
