    Default 2001 Yamaha T50 with 4000hrs Value

What would it be worth? Also apparently the "T" means it is high thrust. What kind of speeds would I be looking at on a 1542 duracraft?

Is that too many hours? Should I run?

Although that appears to be a lot of run time, I would base my decision off the overall condition of the motor, compression, and price. Replacement power heads are readily available for this motor. Was it on a pontoon boat or a skiff?

1 hour and 6 minutes run time every day for 12 years. sounds like a good motor.
if it's in good shape and runs good with good compression and is CHEAP, buy it

That one of the ones on Craiglist that they said was used to push some tourist attraction everyday "at low speeds"?

High thrust = low speeds on a boat even your size. This motor has probly been on a large boat or pontoon, where it was meant to be. That being said, I wouldnt have a problem purchasing a yamaha with such hours if it checked out and ran ok, and the price was right.

yeah, they are from CL. when I talked to him he was at $1,900 a peice. Said each engine got a new foot last year @ $1500 each. I think I've talked myself out of then at the moment. I'm too stupid to be scare of the hours, but I think it would be hard to resale with that many hours if I needed too.
