Just eat like the slacked jawed drooler that roamed the planet during the ice age. Meat, fat, guts, blood, roots, berries, nuts, leaves, twigs, and whatever alcohol you can ferment from the scraps. Basically stay away from anything made from grain (except booze) or has a high sugar content. If you can't have booze, there is nothing worth living for, so why bother with a diet. You'll just live longer...miserably.

Dropped 33 lbs. in 78 days.

Ate whatever I wanted, as long as it wasn't noodles, rice, potatoes, bread, refined sugar...

I ate legumes, chicken, fish, some pork, nearly any veggie/bean, and very little fruit or dairy.

I watched caloric intake, too. Kept it at about 1,200/day.

If you do this, the pounds will nearly slide off themselves.

If you are smart about it, at the end of the day you'll be looking for calories to pack in, even after having at 5 times during the day.

    Losing weight is easy.

It it a math equasion. REALLY, it is.

Find your base metabolic rate. http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

Then -- DECIDE how much weight you want to lose.

It's simple. Eat less. Lose weight.

    Exercise? Lose even more weight.

Diet & exercise? Lose lots of weight and get rippped.

It ain't rocket science. Your body only needs so much per day in order to support itself. Anything less, and it equates to weight loss.

Think about it like a bank. Put money in, gain interest. Or, put food into your mouth -- gain interest in fat. The more you intake, the more interest (fat) you will get. If you make a small deposit, the you won't gain as much "money" (fat) on your investment and you'll end up with less money (weight) in the end.

Look at it however you want. In the end -- if you make excuses for yourself, you'll continue to be a fatass. That's blunt; take it as it is.

    Uhh...no.

    Either one or the other:

    Input < output.

    Input > output.

One leads to weight loss, one to weight gain. It's for the fork-holder to decide.

USMC - I'm glad your plan is working for you. However, I'd be willing to bet it will not work for a lot of people. BMI is a a bunch of horseshit, and that's putting it nicely. Any calculation that uses BMI is a bunch of horseshit.

BMI basically uses height and weight to determine if someone is "healthy." Someone who is 6'0", 215 lbs. with little body fat and good numbers is considered to be borderline obese, yet someone who is the right height and weight is considered to be healthy even though their cholesterol and other numbers may indicate they are a walking time bomb.

An individual who is eating the right way should be able to eat as much as they want. Caloric intake isn't that big of a deal. Your body will tell you when you've had enough if you are eating the right foods in my opinion.

    I said BMR.

    Huge difference.

    I disagree about BMI, too.

There is no arguing about BMR no matter how you look at it. Black and white. Plain as day. Etc.

Sorry. It was late and I misread.

I don't agree that the BMR is black and white. All it takes into account is age, height, weight, and sex. Activity is a huge component, is it not?
