    never tried.
But it would be totally blind casting.

Someone was asking about fly patterns for them earlier.
    Can't remember who.

How's the fishing going down stretch?
I'll be at edistizzy this weekend wettin a line.
    Give me a shout.

wrap shad roe in bacon and grill til the bacon is done. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmm but don't trust a fart. Fried herring roe is even better.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm also don't trust a fart. You won't even know you missed till it runs out yer shoe.

I took my "little brother" Sunday and he caught his first shad. It was a buck but he still wanted to keep it and eat it. I told him it was too bony but he wouldn't be discouraged. When I dropped him off at his mom's house, he ran in with it like he was holding a kitten.

I don't see any advantage in using the fly rod. It would be totally blind casting and you'd need sinking line. There's a thread about what flies to use on the Charlestonfishing.com flyfishing forum.

If I stick around I'll holla at ya. But the trout seem to have turned on.
PB, no advantage to a flyrod, I just wanted to catch one on it.
