tell me how you do it!?!? My fish seem to ghet lockjaw this time of year. I am NOT one to cast crankbaits in deep water off on points. I just dont have it in me.

where do the fish live this time of year and how do y'all catch them?

    pig n jig?
    crankbait?
    texas rigged worm?
    rat-l-trap?
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Spinnerbait has been the ticket for me w/ a floating worm or a fluke in second. At least it is working on Lake Marion.

Toofer, If you want to catch fish and a lot of them, then you better start liking a crankbait, because that is the best thing you can use this time of year.

    as always, lesson's are free.

Sept-oct, The hawgs will be caught on top. You don't fish CB's cause you don't fish much water deep enough. Truth be told, fish around structure that is holding bait fish, those bucketmouths are fatting up for the winter. Black and silver shad raps are good producers during this transition period. In lakes, structure in the mouths of creeks is a good starting point. In ponds or small lakes, chunk the topwater bait till your arm hurts, little bit of splash, lil bit of rattle, you know a #4 Black and Silver Bang-o-lure would be my choice.

    I love fall time fishing!

Crank baits on points brops and bounced off of docks is my favorite for numbers of fish but as the water cools the jig-pig is my favorite for big fish.
