I shoot the choke that came with my 870 and aint got one complaint. If you shoot like piss a 50 buck choke aint goin help. Not saying your a bad shot just giving ya my 2 cents worth. I have friends that swear by a kicks high flyer. I haven't felt the need to get a fancy choke yet.

It's so awesome. The check splits it so fast that your "pellets" come out true.

You need to try different shells with different chokes, factory chokes included. I think you will find they are more than adequate. Most hunters don't posess the skills to connect on a flying target past 40 yards with any degree of consistency. And out the 40 yards, your factory chokes are plenty good.

Bottom line, if you wanna spend your money to buy the latest wiz bang choke tubes with a cool name, fine. But it won't transform you into a killing machine.

If you wanna spend some money to put more birds in your bag, shoot more during the off season or better yet, get a lesson.

Which reminds me. Isn't it about time to schedule another SCDucks shoot day?

I recommend watching more duck dynasty... Those guys are model duck hunters. You should find out what choke they shoot and get a box of those ones.

I have a Kicks modified and it throws a heck of a pattern. My cousin got me some Remington Hypersonic shells for Christmas and I think that's the best load IMO for my gun/choke. I've shot at cardboard at 30 and 40 yards and both the Kicks and my factory chokes (benelli) shoot good patterns but the Kicks has fewer holes in the pattern at 40 yards. I've killed multiple birds at 40 yards with both chokes. I splurged and got the Kicks. I didn't "need" it but I had gift cards to a store that carried them so I put those towards it. I would say that it is worth the cost.
