    Default Shad Nets

Not only having to fight fog with visibality of about 10 feet, the Shad nets were awful in the rivers this mornin, nothing against commercial fisherman but overlapping Shad season with duck season is ridiculous! Guys, be careful while running in the fog and dark, then throwing nets in the mix, very dangerous, long slow ride this mornin but awesome hunt with toes down......

Yep. Ran by GPS this morn just fast enough to get on plane. On the way back to landing in the daylight I seen them all. I swear idk how I missed them.

Does anyone know if there are nets on the ICW?? If not I'll be running the waterway in the morn. Screw the river.

Yes, ICW is a popular shad net place, close to saltwater though!

You won't see much. A buoy on each end. You might think you see a crab pot bouy and go around the side of it that the net is tied to and WHAM! Game over.

Most of them had a big red anchor ball on each end about 30 yards apart with smaller white floats between them, the first one I came across is now seperated,....

If I was a commercial guy....you know, feeding my family and such by those shad nets, it wouldnt take but one or two nets cut in half for me to start stringing steel cable as my head line.

We caught hell yesterday with the fog and nets. Didn't get to our spot until 6:00, but better safe than sorry. Saw them all on the way back.
