2th, I have found a double clutch knot to work the best with braided line.

That is what I thought. It isn't really useful for me because as deep as we fish, you have an empty spool in 2 hours of fishing. The palomar is pretty easy to tie. Good thing you went with teeth and Brian went with hearts, eh?

What size braid would you use for throwing rubber worms at stumps on a level wind?

Bass Pro Excel for me. It is cheap enough that you can respool every week or so. I also like the florocarbon line. It is the stuff for a jig and worms.

    I agree Swampy.

I only use braided line in saltwater. I too use a flourocarbon leader.

When fresh water fishing, I use the Berkley Trilene XT low vis green.

Toof, I would love to hook one of your 10 lb bass on mono. If you've got the drag set right with the ability to adjust during the retrieve (fish on the hook) there shouldn't be much problem. Again, I just need the invite.

    eunuch, what's a uni-knot?

i can "hook you up" dkhntr and BB. hell, y'all don't know how easily I am bought. beer AND sausages is a no-brainer.

where is that link to knot tying!!??!!??

JAB-i like the 20 pound test that is about a 6lb diamater. I will bet you that a lot of you mono-fishermen would like it, too. I enjoy catching fish on light tackle and that 6lb diameter line will fit on some awfully small reels.

Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

    Here tis...

    Animated fishing knots

When I use the Uni on braid, I run the line through the hook eye TWICE, and use about 8 or so twists....

I'm mostly a Bream fisherman and use live bait most of the time but I like the 1lb. dia (8lb. test) Power Pro on my ultra lights. Snags aren't much of a problem with the light wire hooks. The uni-knot works well.

2th, there is usually directions inside the PP package that illistrates tying the Uni-knot.
