1/11/2012 first drake mallard

Goodness gracious...that "was" a beautiful mallard. I am not trying to be a mount snob or a dick, but that is just plain awful. Find someone else in the future to preserve the trophies that you are proud of. You should have been proud of that one. It was a beautiful drake mallard. Now it looks like a damn....I don't even know what it looks like. He couldn't even paint the bill yellow? That's fairly simple.
It's not your fault, but whoever did this ruined a fine trophy for you.

Look at the head and neck of your bird on the front of your boat...then look at your mount. His feet were orange before as well. Look at the feather placement on his wings. Squatty will be along shortly. These are just the first things I noticed without going back. I'd want my money back. Someone mounted there first duck and posted pics on here...that's what it looks like to me.

Ok, you want honesty. Thats up there with one of the worst mallard mounts I have ever seen. You should make sure that old fella know it, and assure him that he should stop mounting ducks if thats the best he can do on a mallard. Nothing is right about the mount. The whole thing sucks. It will always be special to you because it was your first drake mallard. I have a shitty duck mount that was my first to. Don't sweat it, but you shouldnt have paid him a dime for that ugly mess. Did he atleast do it for free?

The head, the feet, the body, the wings, and the bill are no where close to what they should look like. You would have been better off just freezing him the way he was when you killed him and just opening the freezer and showing people when they came over.

Oh my. That's pretty awful. You started off with a beautiful duck and got back shit. Like said above lots of issues. Sorry that happened to you but next time do some research and look at mounts your potential taxidermist does/did. Get references from other people too. Hate that happened to ya.
