    Default Hybrid

Shot this one on my pond this morning. I'm pretty sure it's a mallard black duck hybrid.

Killed this one back in '07.

Darkest head on a hen mallard that I have ever killed.
Bogster pronounced it a hybrid at the time of death.

    I called it dinner.

No sir, I was hunting with him and we couldn't decide between the two of us, who shot it.

Old hen low estrogen levels killed one in the Metro in 2009
My thoughts exactly JAB. I figure, i'll never retire, always work doing something. Rather have boats, guns now and be able to use em than to save and save and then be too out of health to enjoy it.

Hen mallards at times will actually get a fair bit of green in the top of their heads.
