    I have been wearing out the trout the past couple of days on the Saluda. Any body else been catching them? Im trying to find new areas to fish

    If you are wearing them out, then why are you leaving a sure thing.

    If it ain't broke don't fix it.
    Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

    i wasn't asking about smallies. like i wrote, i was asking about trout. i was just wondering if there were any public places to fish.

    We've been just killing the trout at Santee on minnows! Yes, they run a little small but they fight hard. And best of all it's all public waters so you can catch them for free! I don't see why people don't fish for them more?

    Hell I was up on the big river, around kempson's bridge, we got on some rainbows hard, on yeller panther martins with a black dot, and if you fish the island right out in front of the old boat landing, you are sure to catch a mess of em, if we can I would like to keep it a secret since I feed my family from that fishin hole.
