    i know...I know...i could use the search function or google but i'm not so bite me.

    my son's deer. we cut off the "flank steak" and other poor cuts of meat that most of you jokers throw away so dont judge me, bitches.

    i put them in the fridge last saturday. i put some marinade on it this saturday. i used whateverthefuckiwantedto out of the fridge. (no dale's)

    so now I have these 5" long strips of meat. they are about 1/4 thick, at least, and only an inch wide or less. you know...like jerky-sized.

    i want to make jerky or at least attempt to. do i need to tenderize it? if not, can it go straight on an oven rack with a pan under for dripping? if not, can you bring me a dehydrator?

    You make Dentite money....go to Target and get a dehydrator....or I'll bring mine, try not to drown over that damn log and we can make jerky in the afternoon.

    Freeze it before you slice it. Cook on rack in oven on lowest setting - leave door open. Once it dries out - cook for another hour. Eat all you want - refrigerate the rest.

    I've used some high dollar cabelas and another big name brand dehy and that nesco smokes them, and you can buy the trays from sportsman.

    Mine came from Bass Pro. Not sure of the brand. I think its Open Country.

    i am using jp's "recipe" until further notice.

    That's how I've always done it.

    I think my oven gets down to 180* and I've let it go for 3-4 hours before while cracked.

    I've never refrigerated after, though; nor have I gotten sick from it.

    If you have a meat tenderizer, I'd utilize it.

    just to clarify for the toofer, leave the door barely cracked, not all the way open. i just shut a spoon in the corner of the door
