I have been wearing my SubMariner for 20 years, never missed a beat. Thinking about passing it on to my son, he is 20 and I catch him eyeball'n it every now and then

Sorry to hear. My last Tag battery change on an Indy Chrono cost me ~$175.

I own several watches, but for about 4 years now, this thing's left my wrist about 10 times.

Wish it were still this shiney.

This man has the best reply I've seen in this thread. I'm currently wearing a Ripcurl tide watch (Oceanside I believe, but I can't remember) that I bought 11 and a half years ago. 20 bucks and free shipping when the battery goes every few years, but well worth it. It's about time for a new one though I do believe.

If you're looking for a tough watch, the deal today on Gearhog looks like it may be worth it. 66 bucks for a military issue digital compass watch.

Considerably less in 1999 than it is now. Im like USMC SILVER hasn't left my wrist since I got it. its @13 yrs old and been serviced once. I expect it will outlive me if serviced correctly.

My dad has a beautiful Rootbeer GMT that was purchased in the late 60's or early 70's and it's never been serviced.

One day, that watch'll be mine.

    Nice Sub, CC.

This! Pure rugged functionality without the yuppie bling look to it. 9 Years on mine so far without a glitch.
If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

Luminox has been the brand on my wrist for the last 5 years. Great watches.

My word at the fancy fellas we have on here.

The day I spend $2k on a watch is the day you all can have me committed.
