DOGGING and HUNTING are 2 completely different things- you are just a dogger not a hunter

    plenty of times, cajun.

but i guarantee you that EVERY time I saw a skinny, lost hound scoot by, I was pissed.

I, for one, do NOT want to see dog hunting gone. I enjoyed it a great deal as a child and go on a few dog drives each year. HOWEVER, i have to admit that private property rights have to take precedent in today's society as we look towards the future of hunting. I hate that it has to be that way, but laws have to be put in place to protect private property owners from trespassers. And, yes, that includes dogs. I dont see the easy compromise here. wish there was one, though....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

i totally agree wwith you man. i think dog driving is a great way to introduce a kid to deer hunting, because they dont have to be as still. i took my cousin this year and he killed his first deer. man it was great! the look on a child face when he kills his or her first one is priceless!!!!

The bottom line is that the GUY sitting in the tree waiting to see a deer over a food plot that he spent hours and hours of work on has put the habitat, conservation of the game and the rights of other hunters first...

What POSITIVE impact do dog driver's have over that of a still hunt?

Fencing is the answer(other than banning it), but I've never heard one dogman suggest that as a possible solution.

    How about it Guy?

Cat thats cause it would cost the flea dogger money- he would rather drive around drinking beer on his CB looking for his dogs than have to put up and maintain a fence- plus it may stop some of your deer from leaving your 1000 acres and entering his 30 acres

do the interstates of our great state have fences? well yes they do. does it keep animals off our roads? well no it doesnt. will a yard dog run a deer? well yes it will. dogs are going to run deer,so get over it guys. i think that yall are afraid if you went on a dog drive you would like it. wow then you would be on my side!! its fun guys and its not about killing all of the time its about being around friends. and yes we do plant food plots so we do our part for habitat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have killed all I want to ahead of dogs! First at 9. I choose to not kill a deer ahead of dogs on MY land......

Why should I be subjected to this noise and disturbance when I have chosen not to do this on my property?

    Why?

I ain't got a dog in this fight.I whacked my deer hounds years ago for eatin my chickens.Cajun Guy I don't think these guys are afraid they'd like driving with dawgs.I think what they is saying is they don't want any trespassing period, end of discussion no question.Or so I read.My dogs couldn't read either.Didn't drive so they didn't even need a license but so what? The game warden had zero sense of humour.

"or get the police to go with us" evidently they are afraid of being shot unlike their dog

I guess if you could teach your dog to drive you wouldnt have to go look for them- train them better- put them on orange 4 wheelers with whistles and air horns for safety.

thanks for the pass friend you would have made alot of people blow their lids but not me. i do wish the fly by night dog hunters that turn out anywhere would stop. they are the ones who hurt the guys who try to keep their dogs in check. some of the guys in our club are checking into getting fox hounds trained on a horn and i think its a good investment. what is your opinon on that.
