Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office
An Inman man was arrested after an argument about the presidential election at Waffle House early Sunday.
Prince Thomas Foster, 28, of 307 Grandfather Drive, was charged with public disorderly conduct, according to online jail records.
An incident report states that an argument, which included "loud, profane language" about the election was started at a table at the Waffle House on Reidville Road about 4:45 a.m. A deputy eating at the restaurant told Foster, who was seated at the table, several times to watch his language.
The report states that Foster, who appeared to be highly intoxicated, told the deputy, "You can't say (expletive) to me because Obama is the president." The deputy told Thomas again to refrain from using profanity, but Thomas continued to curse and raise his voice, the report states, and he was arrested.
Foster was released from the Spartanburg County Detention Facility on Sunday on a $262 bond.
