I haven't been using a trail camera for very long (the last 2 years) and I just want to know what some other opinions are on whether or not the trail camera will spook deer, and if so, do they steer clear of it after being spooked??

Some pics they seem to be chillin'

Maybe that coon told them to get the hell out of there or he would kick there a@@!
If I have to explain you would not understand! A turkey see's a stump and thinks it's a man a deer see's a man and thinks it's a stump.

I don't think they do, but I guess they could spook em. However, I have got 7 pictures of the same buck in the past several days. Hell, I think he likes gettin his picture taken. He will even strike a pose.

Unless I am reading the photo tag wrong for some oddball reason, the photo on the top is not the first picture taken. Look at the times, first photo was 23:36 and then the bottom one was 20:49. You could say it was the flash or maybe just a pissed off racoon (they hate those things) but either way the deer came back 3 hours later. I'd say your fine.

I think it just like a feeder the first couple of times they hear/see it. It spooks them but they quickly get used to it. My .02 worth.

I think that the deer running is what triggered the camera to flash. Don't you think that if the flash scared them they would run after the flash not before it?
He would have been nice next year.
