I tried to buy a car from an individual seller. Moments before my credit union printed the check, they advised the car had a salvaged title and they couldn’t touch it. The seller was in disbelief, as he had no issue financing the car. He later provided me with an email from NCDOT salvage title dept stating the car in fact had a clean title. I forwarded the email to the credit union asking if they could account for the discrepancy.
After reviewing the documents they admitted they had never seen this scenario. The vehicle was definitely at a salvage yard, and must have been repaired adequate to retain the “clean” title. We could now proceed with the deal at my discretion.

Could anyone with experience in this arena offer an explanation how this car was repaired and totaled at the same time?
This is a beautiful Mustang, with extras, at a good deal. Maybe…

So I've lost my only functioning key fob for the x5, leaving me with a backup that gets the car started but keyless entry no worky. Changed the battery multiple times, still nothing. Half the time I don't even lock my vehicle but I when I want/need to I prefer to simply mash the button.

So my question is, is it mandatory to have one functioning fob to "teach" a new one properly?

Spoke to a dealer the other night at a ball game, and he mentioned that some of the smaller diesel engines may can be “altered” now …. He sells GMC and the general theme with his folks is if you can take all of the emissions BS off they will be great ( with the caveat that he has hatch transmission and bearing failures, but nothing like the 6.2)
