I hate mine, this is not how i asked the guy to position my ducks and it doesnt look natural, and he had it on a piece of crap board, so i took the shutter off an old backer barn. not very happy with a (very well know taxidermist) in the pee dee. Gonna have another done one day. Not by him.

    Costa's rocks!

all those pictures show nicely mounted mounted birds, but none of the ones above look like realistic dead birds to me, I guess it is all in what you are looking for

agreed, why i stated as much in the first part of my post, thanks for noticing also, next ones i get mounted in a dead mount, i will position them how i want them after i kill'em, then take a pic and give my taxidermist to replicate.

I hate to see ducks hanging by their heads. I've only ever 1 dead mount with the birds hanging by their heads and it looked terrible!

Finleys would have done you a better job on the hanging from the head

I just dropped a mallard off yesterday at Chucks in Anderson and his dead mounts look great.

On a side note squat I won't be dealing with finleys anymore. I see what you mean about them now

The cool thing about Costa's mount is that each one of those greenheads came from a different flyway, so he has 1 mount that holds memories from hunts all across the country. Pretty cool idea in my opinion.

I was looking at doing a dead mount for some mallards I killed recently. Im not really crazy about the birds hanging from there feet, but thats just me. I was looking at some hanging from their heads and found some really good ones. If I can find them again I will post them for you. I decided to go with a flying mount because I dont have any mallards mounted yet and I wanted to get the full effect of the birds.
