yep. I appreciate the difference, but I dont appreciate that one fisherman can cast or reel better than the other.
I guess my point is that I can take a glitter boat guy to a farm pond and have to show him some things. Much like he can take me to a bigass hunk of open water and hand me an open faced reel with a crankbait on it and tell me where to cast.
Listen....this isnt bragging....but if I can hang with Nutz and outfish the shit out of artsmellyfish.....well.....you get the picture.
(that part is supposed to be funny.)
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Don't overthink it. It's just like public water ducks or wma deer. And don't even get me started on the egos of public land turkey hunters. For some reason it counts more. I've never understood it but dem are the rules of internet hunting forums.
Sure you might have spent years improving the habitat and quality of wildlife in your pond or lake, but it would be much more impressive if you walked out on public land and had a big 8 pointer walk out in front of you.

Both of y'all seem pretty sharp, so surely you understand it's much easier to find the needle if the haystack's smaller?
2th is persistently persistent, that goes along well with fishing.
Bass catching is more fun than bass fishing. If bass catching is easier in a pond, then I will choose to catch in a pond. Just seems to make sense.
I have always been impressed/baffled that a man can go to a bass tournament on a lake that he has rarely fished, across the country from his home, and outfish people that have fished there their entire life.
The impression quickly wears off when they start driving 70 mph in a boat
Edited to add that I should get back into this bass catching. Bass seem to be getting more dense over time. When I used to do more bass catching, those fish would have been in the 6-7 pound range. I don't know if it is fluoride or performance enhancing drugs, but bass of similar dimensions just seem to weigh more than they used to.

Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

FYI you cannot throw a deep diving crankbait on a spinning rod in 30 feet of water. Some stuff requires rods and reels suited to the task. Not to say you will never catch a bass on such a rig but it will not consistently work
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.
nice pic, dumbduck
i agree with the point trkyklr is making....there's a reason KVD or whoever is popular. He can flat CATCH FISH.
I'd love to bring him to a pond I know and go head to head. I aint skeered.
Again, i've fished in the presence of co-angler tourney winners and held my own. (still trying to get nutz or artsmellyfish to hit my bait)
