When in doubt, shoot him again!

Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!

I think you are getting a little bit of what you deserve. You had some smart ass comment about my Goff Swamp bird if I remember correctly. It kills me to say I agree with Gobblrhuntr, but you were not under that bird. If you roosted the bird the day before you should have been in his lap. Day one he shudda been dead. Maybe you ain't the hotshot you seemed to be with the Goff Swamp post. LOL!!

Dude Goff swamp birds are the easiest birds in this state. I couldn't limited out down there if I wanted to and there were birds. I stand by my comment. Just sit back on your public land and wait for that gobble you've been waiting for. You shouldn't have got out of Goff Swamp of you wanted gobbling turkeys. Wait, I'm glad your dumbass did

And you don't think a roosted bird that you hunted fourteen times is not easy to kill? Damn you stupid or what? Maybe you need to go back to school, if you ever went and learn the definition of under,

    Turkey poetry abounds.

Nothing but a room full of grown men trying to impress each other by dogging a young hunter's kill. Pretty pathetic at best.

No I'm an average turkey hunter at best. I don't claim to be a very good turkey Hunter but it's my passion and what I love. I don't have a problem with you. I never talk shit to you about anything. I'm an average turkey hunter that can look like Will Primos in Goff Swamp. My only point was Goff Swamp is nothing to hang your hat on.

I didn't say it was. There were an ass of turkeys there back then. The hunt was a damn good one. The bird gobbled close to 100 times and it took about an hour to kill him. Twas a great memory with a friend who was with me but passed away a few years later. Those type quality hunts don't come every day. That's what the video was about, not Goff Swamp, which is a special place though.

He just looks young from avoiding manual labor his whole life. And now he's talking about passion, might have to change the threads name up again.....

Along the Wateree River, back side of Fort Jackson. Before they cut all the old trees in the mid to late 80's, there wasn't a much better place to hunt turkeys in the country from what I have heard. Five thousand plus acres of pure turkey heaven. I was blessed enough to get in at the tail end of the great times.

Don't talk shit and I can have you in there in the morning. It's 5300 acres, 4000 are which river swamp on the Wateree. The turkey population is way down due to timber cutting and floods the last 3 years during nesting season. I've been in it 8 years and it's turkey heaven. We killed 22 on it 6 years ago and that was when you couldn't kill but two in Richland

What's the dues now and does Wilburt still run it? Unless, ya'll picked up some new land, I don't think it is still 5,000 acres as a good bit was sold shortly after I left in the mid to late 90's. Is Johnny Taylor still down there? Is so, you need to get on his coattails, the boy may be the one of the best in the state.

Sheesh. The guy shares a story about a killing at turkey after a 14 day duel and the gossip column starts. I enjoyed the read - good job man. Thanks for telling us about it. This is a hunting website correct? We should be sharing stories about killing stuff right?
