    Default Sig

Any of you have the Sig mosquito?

We got daddy one for Christmas and the dirn thing hangs up on the first couple bullets out of the magazine.. The last few seem to cycle through fine..

The more expensive bullets seem to do better than the cheaper, but they all hang..

    Anybody experience anything like that?

I don't have one but I would thoroughly clean it and then shoot it again. Some guns requiring getting all of the factory "grease" out before functioning properly.

Yep, I have one and see the same issues you have. Cheap bullets aren't compatible.

CCI only. If it still hangs, polish the feed ramp.

Pbiz, how is it exactly hanging up? On shell feed or extraction.

Clean the barrel real well and make sure it is dry on the ramp and inside the barrel. Shoot it again with only cci rounds or a higher quality round. You could by chance have a bad recoil spring even though that isn't likely. If it still hangs up, I would call sig before you have the feed ramp polished.

Blazer feeds the best by a long shot. Shoot it a lot and think of it as training for malfunctions.

It should but I would call sig and see what they say. Was this a new gun purchase?

I would call them tomorrow Pbiz and see what they say. That shouldn't happen with a sig in my opinion.

I don't think Sig even makes this gun, just hangs their name on it. That being said I'd probably send it back.

No need to call Sig when it's well known the mosquito only likes high quality ammo. They'll tell you the same thing.

i havent had that problem with mine. It does have different springs that come with it. Use the weak one. I also was told to store it in the safe with the action open to loosen the spring.

My neighbor had one that did the same thing. He sent his back to Sig. They polished the feed ramp and did a few other things, his feeds like a sewing machine now.

as stated, it doesnt like cheap ammo. Mine likes vintage Winchester Wildcats, but they are getting more and more scarce in my safe. I found some with a .97 cent price tag on them from Edwards dept store the other day. It will also accept CCI and Blazer.

    Good luck.
