Bill to ban dog hunting

That's an interesting bill as they are putting in protections for dogs getting onto others' properties (which obviously happens way more when people try and dog hunt on smaller tracts) but then puts the minimum acreage at 1,000 acres. I know it will still happen but how often do you see clubs with 1,000 + acre blocks letting dogs get onto adjoining lands? Most clubs (In my experience) that have 1,000 + blocks to hunt have things planned out enough/standardized to hunt the blocks and keep the dogs from getting off the property. That's just my experience though.

Doesn't matter if they have 10,000. They will get off of it on a regular basis.

Yea, as I said, in my experience it didn't seem that way and it certainly did not seem like a regular occurrence. Just hate to see what dog hunting has turned into nowadays and how many despise that way of hunting. I didn't shoot my first deer with a rifle until I was in college and grew up with the mindset that sitting in a tree and waiting on deer was for wussies. It is funny to see how things change though, haven't been on a dog drive in probably 10 years and I enjoy relaxing in a deer stand waiting on deer... But I will say, there is not much better than standing at the ready with an A5 as the dogs head your way!
