    Default Ah hell

Been watching this one for a few years, hoping one of the kids would whack him. Found him this morning, too far gone to tell what happened...

At least you found him and won't be looking for him all year.

Stud, probably shot by a night hunter.

    Damn fine buck that was.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have watched him tending does on 3 different occasions so I feel pretty good about his legacy. His daddy was a real monster that several on this site got to watch feeding on beans one afternoon over a decade ago. He was a star for weeks until the season opened. We never did see him again. We are starting to believe that we lost a lot more deer in the October flood than we realized at the time. Most of our swamp edge plots are going untouched. If these damned skeeters ever slow down, I might go sit one evening and see what is what.

Whoa, that's a good one..........J, I know of a couple very big/old deer that drowned and were luckily found after the October flood.......was he in a location where you would suspect that to be the case?

    Damn. Thats a serious buck
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

Sad loss, but his progeny will be about for you to enjoy. The skeeters are sure 'nuff bad.
