    Default Place my stand

Hunting a little 15 acre in-town track in the AM. Never been there, all I know is that the planted pines are about 12yo and have been cleared. Also, there is a small creek running the length of the property on the south side and a 60 acre pasture to the east. I will park at park at the red barn. I think I am going to hunt in the far southeast corner. Supposedly, the bottoms are hardwoods and the hill is pines and brush

That's reassuring... That is a reoccurring nightmare of mine, falling into an old dried up well with hundreds of snakes in the bottom of it. I usually don't use a flashlight walking in or out, but now that I am thinking about it, and as dark as it is right now, I'll probably be using it in the morning

That's the same tract those damn loggers left a mess and the surveyors screwed up the property lines on.

the loggers cut the line trees down and knocked all the corners out.

surveyor must have used 1/2" rebar. i bet they tied up blue flagging instead of pink or orange.

i have damn near stepped in a well once before. i am sure i have run across a few dozen in my travels thru the woods. usually end up getting a old shittin ass logger to fill the min with gate trash and a skidder blade.

Did they clean out the culvert pipe they clogged up yet? The damn loggers could care less about aesthetics or deer hunters.....only production.

Conservative, the Western corner near the houses is where its at. Look for the white oak Gbelly left with a "blue W".....wildlife tree. It's pouring acorns with tons of deer shit when I did a final logging inspection.
