I need to wage war on the beavers. They have gotten into the flashboard riser. I need tips, techniques and advice.

If you can check the pond often, then try conibear 330 double spring trap. Make sure to get the setting tool because setting them with rope is not fun in my opinion. You need to check the traps every day or two. Beaver piss will make them work faster.
If you can't check the pond often, I have heard of people dropping by the pond right around dusk when they get active. I heard of those same people shooting the beavers.
7.62 headshots are where it's at.
I put a piece of tin in front of ours. I believe the dimensions are 12' tall by 3' wide. Made a 2x6 frame to keep the tin from bending. Drilled 1/2" holes through the tin to allow water through but they cannot clog it up. Before I dropped the tin in front of the riser I glued a couple sticks of 4" perforated PVC into a "L" shape and covered it with a silt sock. One leg of the PVC goes under the tin and out into the pond. The other leg comes up between the tin and the flashboards. Even if they clog everything up in front of the tin the water will flow under the tin and continue to drain.
They tried like hell to stop it up this year when I started dropping water. They have all sorts of mud and sticks up against the tin, but the PVC still pokes out in the pond and they haven't figured out that is where the water gets through. We had 4.5" of rain week before last and the pond stayed at the same level it has been all summer.
You won't trap, shoot, blow up, burn out, piss on or anything else enough of them to keep them from clogging it up. Beavers are straight from the gates of hell.

MB-750's are my go-to when they are using runs without much cover/brush around. I don't like using conibears when the trap is "in the open." Might just be chance, but I've caught more in the legholds than in the conibears in the past few years.

Use the Clemson beaver control system. It works.
An old stanky shirt, or nasty drawers left hanging nearby will work real well, trust me on that one.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
Missing you my great friend.
If you see one, you have 5-7.....kind of like mice.
Next full moon bust a hole in the dam or take some boards out of your riser about 30 mins before sunset. Sit on the dam about 20 yds away for the leak. Don't shoot the first one that comes to the leak, he's like a scout surveying the damage. He'll leave and come back with reinforcements. Then just start picking them off. Don't use any light. I have killed 9 in one night using this method, and yes I am the beaver whisper.
