Default House of Hardy Marquis Silent Check #5

Okay, so this is a long shot, but I feel the need to try anyway.

While I was stationed in Germany back in the late 90s I purchased a Hardy Marquis Silent Check #5 from a little angling shop in Amberg, Germany.

The reel, along with a Sage VPS, was left in Alaska with a friend whom I can no longer locate.

I would like to replace the reel. Shopping around on the internet though, has proved frustrating. Apparently not too many of the reels were made, much less imported to the US.

If anyone has any leads, I would really appreciate it.

There is a little rod&reel repair shop on hwy 6 in Eutawville on the left just before the little tastee freeze. I haven't been in there in a while, but the last time I was there the old man had a mess of old reels from all over the world.
Its a long shot, but if you're around those parts stop in and check.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Wonder of wonders. It has been returned. Almost 10 years to the day from when I left Alaska.

    Nice.
