    Default Spark plug gap

Anybody know what the gap should be on the plugs for a 2 stroke Merc 25?

I can't seem to find it online. Preesh.

Last time I bought some they had a NGK book hanging right there by plugs. It showed what plug you need for what motor and proper gap. Might be on the NGK website.

Just have Mrs. Simple call or visit one of the shops. I find it works better in person, if you bat your eyelashes, just a bit, & act real helpless, (my husband left me & ran off with my best friend, Thelma. Can you help me get this boat motor running? I'm thinkin' of selling it REAL cheap, since he left the boat behind. Can you help me, please sir?). Tell Mrs. Simple to be sure and use her BEST Scarlett O'Hara accent - works like a charm 99.9% of the time. Men...Bless their hearts!

I have not idea what the book calls for but if in doubt, use .030" to .035". Electronic ignitions are so hot these days that they'll jump a .050" or .060" gap. Too narrow and they foul too easily. Too wide and you might not get the spark to jump it if you have too much leakage in your wires or a weak coil.

Vikki, I know better'n that. She'd sell it to the lowest bidder at said shop and not think twice.
