    Default My HOG Feb. 27th

Went with a buddy of mine for my first ever hog hunt and we caught us a big boar hog. He was about 200 lbs and had 2" cutters.......This was as exciting as anything I have ever done. I dove in and handcuff the pig........when we got back to the house and the adrenaline was gone.......I kinda thought man what was you thinkin, but I would SOOOOOO do it again today!!!!!

Anybody in the lowstate that has gotten aggravated with hogs let me know have dogs will travel!!

Handcuffs Never saw that. Seems like a good idea. Faster than rope.

    Great job!

But why the handcuffs? Were you trying to take him alive?

Woodie- they have anal sex with the live pig for 6 days after they capture- you sposed to feed him syrupped corn and kool aid this final week and it sweetens the meat, the sex is a bonus

The hog was killed on privat eproperty on the Abbeville Greenwood county line.

The handcuffs take the place of rope or tape. This hog was taken alive and was put in the pen at my buddy's house.

He trains some of his pups sometimes but normally he kills em and eats em.

By taking them alive you can kill em and clean when you want or have time to.

If you stick one in the woods you have to clean it right then, which would have left us up most of the night. I think I would rather wait until Friday when I get off at 11 am and go take care of him in the daylight hours!!!

Not meaning to offend, but if the pig is headed for the wild game dinner, a 200+ boar may not be the best choice. If you're confident you can cook it up right, then go for it. Otherwise you might wanna go catch a 125-150 sow, or an 80 lb anything. My experience with big boars is that they often taste about like they smell.

Yea he mentioned the same thing about the boar hog, so I think I am gonna jut swap him for the sow he currently has penned up. And let him keep the boar.

CC you would be surprised how you can control them pigs when you have their back legs. Now it aint easy you will have to put some "elbow grease" into it but it is doable

There is alot of technique to it. I reckon thats the word to use.

Just got to know how to position them
