    Default First Mallard

Man it was slow this morning, after reading other post i see we were not the only ones that were not seeing birds. We shot at 3 birds this morning, killed 3 birds, one was my buddys first mallard. He's only been hunting a year, and didnt get any last year. It was a hen but man he was stoked about. I hit the call real soft a few times and she dropped out the sky, and was about 10 feet from him, 4 foot off the water.

i think alot of these boys here don't like face paint. i use it for two reasons....1. i need every advantage to get the ducks. 2. it helps hide my boyish good looks so the chicks will leave me alone. hehe

I use it cause its sucks to try and use a duck call with a face mask. After keeping a close log, i figured out that we always kill more with faces covered. Not hard to understand, seeing how if you walk out a few yards in the swamp a uncovered face shines like new money. hey do what works for you, aint gonna knock anybody if what they're doing kills birds.

no need to hate the paint

I don't like masks or paint. I char the end of a wine cork and rub it on my face. Comes off with water and works great.
