I retract this statement. As of now, I shoot 3.5" BBs. Carry on.

The cheapest shells I can find are the shells I buy and usually this means Winchester 3" Hi-Velocity # 2s, 3s & 4s, depending on what is available. I like the smaller pellets if I can get em.

Looking at the table posted by Trapper, it would appear that the data supports loads with smaller pellets.
I can't believe it, Again I agree with Fish!

The absolute best shells that you can shoot are the ones that you shoot on the clays range!!! Other than that, the difference between shells of like kind (comparing steel to steel) is inconsequential.

There is no magical steel load just as there is no magical choke. When it comes to shooting a shotgun, you can't purchase proficiency. You have to learn it and earn it.

If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

    D: None of the Above.

Environmetal's Hevi-Shot is #1. Just the density alone is more than lead and it kills birds stone cold. The downrange energy, plus with being able to go down a few shots sizes, more pellets increases my odds of hitting the bird... and trust me, I need all the help I can get! I consider myself ok with a shotgun at best, and I hate chasing, or losing, cripples. With this stuff, it gives me confidence to know that if I hit the bird, it's dead!

12 ga. 3" #6's, or 16ga 2 3/4" #4's, classic doubles. I like to be ale to shoot the ole 16 at ducks sometimes.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

For those of you that like kents and have a wet shell problems- all you need to do is get a 12ga reloading block (or something that will hold the shells with the bottom up), coat each primer/primer pocket with clear fingernail polish and let them dry.

They'll all do the job if you hit the duck. Shell performance - 5%. Shooter performance 95%

3 3/4 1 1/4 6's or 4's. i have evan used 9's nothing works as good as lead shot. i have found that i have less cripples with low power dove shells than steel. so when i feel like i can get away with it i shoot lead. when i hunt where im subject to get checked i shoot whatever steel is the cheapest and do the best i can do with it.
