Not a lot of birds, but it wasn't for lack of effort on your boy's part. That much was apparent

An opportunity for a limit presented itself, but Jr. wasn't up to the challenge, LOL! He promoted himself to my 870 supermag and for whatever reason he was not on with it. 44 shots and 4 birds.... They served some butts that they pulled there on the spot and it was damned good. Another great showing by DNR. We had one foreigner there with two kids and they weren't too well versed in the ways of the dove or the shotgun they were going to be using. The dad was smart enough to make this known and one of the DNR LEOs took him and the boys t othe side and had a great session with them and even offered to sit with them if need be. Whether he did or not, I'm not sure. Now I know a lot of people would WTF??? to this scenario, but you have to play the cards you're dealt and DNR crowd showed nothing but respect to these guys and were not the least bit condescending...made me proud. Kudos to everyone involved

As this field continues to be planted it will only get better.

yea this was only the 2nd year that field has been planted i believe. It will be a great place, but i think it is a LITTLE too spread out(if they planted it like last year). it's got everything needed for a great field though, that's for sure
