This article is more for hand made art that photography (paintings, and what not) but it does a much better job of explaining signatures on "art" than any on you.
BUT, it seems to me that a photo is taken to please the eye... and a signature on a photo stands out, thus drawing the eye to it and taking away from the "art" you(and the camera) have created
