So because he didn’t have written permission from his sister they are going to fine him and take away his buck because the law says you need written permission if you aren’t the land owner. Seriously?

“An investigation was launched by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources after information was provided alleging that Alexander failed to obtain the lawfully required written permission prior to hunting on private property.
Do you have to have said permission on you? If not surely the sister could write a note on a napkin????
Oops I couldn't find where my napkin was, but here it is.......
Yup, he's crazy...
like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.
Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.

and i bet he had a text from his sister about hunting her land.
that's written but i'm not a lawyer....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
The lawyer claims to have found 2 bloody knives on his property. Also, CJ "forgot" his phone that day, so they can't pinpoint his location. CJ's girlfriend dropped him off early morning and he sat all day until seeing a doe and then this buck about 4 in the afternoon. A lot of coincidences, but he sounds believable. Used a friends crossbow because his was broke. He didn't take any daytime pics, but recovered it late the next morning. Didn't even go look for it until late morning.
So who's phone took the picture?

you have to be a special kind of stupid to poach a deer off of the DA’s land and think your going to get away with it

The Ohio DNR folks are absolute authoritarian assholes when it comes to trophy deer…period. A friend of mine retrieved a deadhead from a flooded but receding water slough adjacent to where he hunts. It was public water and one of his buds tipped him off to antler sticking up out of the mucky water. Deer had been dead a long time, but he went out and pulled the nasty thing in…giant deer with 12+ inch matching double drops. He got his wife to use her tag to tag it, since you can tag a deadhead and keep it. She wrote down the wrong county. The deer was on the Athens/Washington county line, and she put the wrong county (was off by less than 400 yards max). They showed up to his house when he wasn’t home, took the deer, fined her for improperly tagging the deer, and kept the head.
So, after watching about 30 minutes of north woods law and knowing the Ihio DNRs bent, they either have evidence he killed it on the lawyers property or somewhere other than his sisters and they will make the case, or the guy killed it legit and they are going to screw him on a technicality. I’m leaning toward the latter…otherwise, why not bust him for poaching the deer if they have evidence.
My buds family do not have to give each other written permission to hunt each others land…or if they do, they never have and nobody has ever said a damn thing. Whatever happened, I can promise you that kid doesn’t have the money to lawyer up adequately enough to fight a determined-to-screw-you Ohio DNR. Not saying it was legal kill, but if it was, he’s going to have to take the screwing and deal with it.
“I can’t wait ‘till I’m grown” is the stupidest @!#* I ever said!
