I am a novice fly fisherman along with my sons. We rented fly rods and bought some fly’s and spent a day all by ourselves in the Uintas Mountians in northern Utah. Very remote with zero cell service. We used the old fashioned paper maps and packed a lunch and rode in early morning. You can camp wherever you wish. We did okay for first timers and would do it exactly the same again. I also don’t like crowds and we saw one person all day. Was good times. There is an amazing amount of public land in Utah and Colorado.
