Went bowfishing Monday night...

Went with Vince from Oakhill Archery. We had a blast, and I actually ended up connecting with four fish; they don't exactly sit still for you. We cruised about four feet from a 12-13 foot gator that we all thought was a log till it kinda rolled and looked at us. BIG MOFO! For those who have never done this, try it! It is definitely not your relaxing fishing trip, and keeping your balance on the deck will give your feet and back a serious workout, but it is a hoot and a challenge.

We missed two opportunities to shoot at two flatties that were pushing 35. We shot a few gar and didn't see many cats until we got back to near the boat ramp. When we got back, the cats had moved in to feed and we ended up with 6 or 7 with the biggest about 15. I think we are going again Monday night and might be hitting the river this time.
