Bass fishing has never been hard to be successful, pond or lake.
Throw in these modern electronics with side scan, chirp, etc, it is literally shooting fish in a barrel.
Most any decent bottom machine has damn near any lake’s map preloaded with almost every ledge, drop off, and rock escarpment marked.

I have always been impressed/baffled that a man can go to a bass tournament on a lake that he has rarely fished, across the country from his home, and outfish people that have fished there their entire life.
The impression quickly wears off when they start driving 70 mph in a boat
Edited to add that I should get back into this bass catching. Bass seem to be getting more dense over time. When I used to do more bass catching, those fish would have been in the 6-7 pound range. I don't know if it is fluoride or performance enhancing drugs, but bass of similar dimensions just seem to weigh more than they used to.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
