You can’t have a 3 way hybrid without including 2 species of the mallard complex.
Mallard/Black hybrid (fertile bird) mates with a hen pintail (fertile) could POSSIBLY produce offspring giving the bird 3 separate species in one duck, but that final bird would be sterile.
I’m not even sure they would produce but that’s the only scenario I can see being even remotely possible.
Look at horses...
Donkey - fertile
Horse - fertile
Mule - sterile.
You can’t breed a mule with a zebra and expect offspring.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
