Mine died when I was 7, but she enstilled in me a love for fatback and cornbread.
We would go visit her after school a lot and she would ALWAYS have either some fatback or sausage patties covered up on top of the stove for us. If anyone else came to visit during the day Grandmother would hide the plate of fried foods and save them for me and my sister.
Not sure what happened to her cornstick pans but her cast iron frying pans are now in my possession.
